While not providing any unexpected guidance, this year's statement focuses attention on sponsor covenant, investment strategy, macroeconomic uncertainty and, of course, funding.
Many schemes have experienced improved funding levels through a combination of investment out-performance from return-seeking assets and a significant rise in gilt yields.
